In Piazza dei Massimi, between Campo de Fiori and Piazza Navona, an epigraph recalls a MAJOR event: in this very place in 1467, for the first time a book  – Cicero’s “Epistiulae ad familiares” – was printed in Rome. The deed  is attributed to two German printers, A. Pannartz and K. Sweynheym, who rented some rooms owned by the “de Maximis” family.
