THE CHESTS OF DRAWERS

The beautiful eighteenth-century square of St. Ignatius is overlooked by the so-called “chests of drawers”, buildings built by the architect Filippo Raguzzini and strongly resembling pieces of furniture. Widely criticized at the beginning, they later became the object of particular admiration.
