PIAZZA VITTORIO EMANUELE II

Surrounded by palazzi with large porticoes in the 19th-century style, this picturesque square was built by Gaetano Koch shortly after the unification of Italy. In the centre of the piazza is a garden with the remains of a fountain built by Alexander and the Magic Portal, one of the five entrances to the former residence of Italian alchemist Massimiliano Palombara.
