The Orchestra and the Choir of Teatro dell’Opera of Rome stage the overwhelming opera in two acts by Christoph Willibald Gluck, set to a libretto by Ranieri de’ Calzabigi. The action revolves around Orpheus, one of the main characters of Greek mythology, and his love for the nymph Eurydice. The staging is a co-production with Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Château de Versailles Spectacles and Canadian Opera Company.
