Italy’s oldest amusement park reopens after eight years of closure. Luneur is a spectacular Garden of Wonders conceived for children aged 0-12 y.o. and their families. Among beautiful flowers and more than 300 different plant species, visitors will be able to enjoy a fantastic experience with many exciting rides, games, workshops and exclusive shows.
The are 25 attractions at the rejuvenated seven-hectare park, including the original 23m-high ferris wheel, the Brucomela roller coaster, carousel horses and teacups, as well as brand new attractions such as the Bamboo Tunnel, the Maze, the Giant Swing and the Wizard of Oz-style farm. The Luneur lake will house an ice rink from November 17 until January 9 before reopening in the spring with water games.
Designed as a temporary feature to coincide with an agricultural fair in 1953, the park became a permanent fixture due to its unexpected level of popularity, opening all year round after Rome hosted the Olympic Games in 1960. The outdoor attractions are officially closed for the winter season but the indoor playground is open all year round.
