The bell tower of the church of San Francesco di Paola is the only one in Rome whose base is a medieval tower. It is called “dei Borgia” but actually belonged to various families of the Roman nobility, including Montanaris, Cesarinis and Marganis, whose coat of arms are still visible today. On the top of the tower, to be reached through five steep flights of stairs, one of the most spec-tacular views of the city.
